Welcome to the Morrinsville Museum

Features of the museum include the McDonald cottage, displays of Maori tools, school items, childhood toys and dairy farm items. Also see our own film “The Green Circle” (25 minutes)

The museum archives hold an extensive collection of Morrinsville material including photographs which are available for viewing on request.

Opening Hours for the Museum

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Friday 12.30pm to 4.00pm
Saturday from 9.00am to 2.00 pm.   –  Market Day only.

Closed Sunday and Mondays

The Museum will be closed from the 16th December to the 21st January for the Christmas holiday break. But if you wish to visit the museum over this time you can ring Barbara at  (07)  889 6208    or  Joan (07) 889 6789   mobile 021 1142 11

We do strongly suggest you ring The Morrinsville Museum before you set off on your family day out to visit the Museum. We are dependent on volunteers staff. If you wish to visit outside the listed hours you can call 889 4190 or email the museum to arrange a time to visit.

with a special personal review of his service to his Country and Morrinsvillle district.
