Features of the museum include the McDonald cottage, displays of Maori tools, school items, childhood toys and dairy farm items. Also see our own film “The Green Circle” (25 minutes)
The museum archives hold an extensive collection of Morrinsville material including photographs which are available for viewing on request.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Friday 12.30pm to 4.00pm
Saturday from 9.00am to 2.00 pm. – Market Day only.
Closed Sunday and Mondays
We do strongly suggest you ring The Morrinsville Museum before you set off on your family day out to visit the Museum. We are dependent on volunteers staff. If you wish to visit outside the listed hours you can call 889 4190 or email the museum to arrange a time to visit.
The First World War and its Morrinsville Soldiers
A member the Otago Infantry Battalion Died of disease on the 9th.July 1915 aged 33 We will honour each Morrinsville Serviceman on the anniversary of his death
with a special personal review of his service to his Country and Morrinsvillle district. Come to the Museum to see further information and our new Anzac exhibition now open Sunday discussion afternoon 26th July at 1.30 pm at the Morrinsville Museum Subject is the Dutch who came to New Zealand after the war.
